New strategy released: Prevention Strategy 2020 – 2022

The Bassetlaw Integrated Care Partnership approved the Bassetlaw ICP Prevention Strategy 2020-2022 during their Board meeting on 13 February 2020.

bassetlaw icp prevention strategyThe Bassetlaw Integrated Care Partnership have committed to taking an evidence-based approach to addressing prevention priorities.

Using evidence from comparative performance data, and local insights from the public and partners, the prevention priorities for Bassetlaw are:

  • Tackling obesity and weight management;
  • Reducing harm from alcohol;
  • Increasing physical activity, particularly those who are inactive;
  • Housing;
  • Supporting employment.

All the priorities, are underpinned by a focus on emotional wellbeing and resilience, using the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ approach, in particular the opportunities presented by volunteering and building on community assets.

The Bassetlaw ICP Prevention Strategy describes how these priorities will be addressed over the next three years.

The purpose of the Bassetlaw Integrated Care Partnership is to deliver improvement in experiences, health and wellbeing for Bassetlaw citizens, through simpler, integrated, responsive and well understood services which ensure people get the right support at the right time. This will support local people to stay well in their own homes and communities so everyone can be better in Bassetlaw.
